| Ugh. |
I can't say I've been too busy to update, because I wasn't. I just had other things on my mind. But I'm back, and I'm going to tell all of you what's been going on.
Friday: It was the second day of school, and I made some new friends. Joy. Nothing really happened, but I went somewhere Friday night and didn't have internet connection.
Monday: Started Cheerleading tryouts. My friends and I established an unspoken agreement that I would wait for Katrina at her locker, then we'd walk to the table under the tree where we'd meet Sarah and eat lunch. We had to take the Summer Reading test, and my mother was pissed because I didn't call her so that I could help my little sister to the car. But it wasn't my fault I had to stay late to take the Pre-AP part of the test.
Tuesday: I was pretty familiar with my cheer, but I was very, very nervous. I made two new friends, Bailee and Olivia, who were both trying out. We're not the best of friends because they're sort of preppy, but anyway.
Wednesday: The day of the actual tryouts. I did well on everything... except for my jumps. We had to do a toe-touch and a random jump. I chose the herkie (spelling?). When it came time to do jump number two, I did a toe-touch instead of the herkie, which was wrong. I think the coach got mad.
Thursday: We found out who made it into cheerleading. Bailee, Olivia, and I made JV. On top of that, I was late to school, late to Biology, and my locker was being a royal bitch. English class, as usual, was hilarious.
Friday: Two words. Pep and Rally. We (as in my mother and I) spent two hours riding around looking for "bloomers" to wear under my uniform the day before. Too bad we couldn't find any. Plus I had to do a toe-touch in a too-short skirt and a stunt. I was so very nervous. Five minutes before the start of the pep rally, some Varsity cheerleader lent me her extra pair of shorts, which I was very thankful for. The pep rally was sucky, anyhow. The music wasn't playing right, and they changed the way we were supposed to do our stunt. It looked good, though. The Varsity screwed up badly, when their music came out in a really weird screeching-sort-of-music.
So there you have it. My school year thus far. Saturday was relaxing, to say the least. My friend Britta and I spent twenty minutes laughing at a roach and calling him "Lord Voldemort."
